BA Dance Practices (Choreography)
Dance at Middlesex has an established tradition of practice-led teaching that allows our students to develop into vibrant and dynamic artists, practitioners, entrepreneurs, educators. Middlesex dance degrees open up employment opportunities across the dance and creative industries and prepare students for lifelong careers.
This final year specialism fosters independence and ambition in dance making through encouraging dialogue with other artists and disciplines including music, architecture, fine art or art and design, alongside knowledge and understanding of the range and diversity of inter-disciplinary practices. Students independently engage in the research, invention and planning of choreographic projects and advance their independent choreographic voice through practice-as-research; to synthesise and extend their knowledge of socio-political and cultural landscapes of choreographic practices.
