BA Illustration
BA Illustration at Middlesex University is an exciting and informed programme that nurtures creativity and diversity whilst covering all areas of contemporary illustration. Previous alumni include Cristian Ortiz,( Crom), Chris Bianchi ( le Gun), Alex Foster, winner of the AOI World Illustration Award and Corban Wilkin, winner of the Jonathan Cape Comica Graphic Short Story Prize. Graduates leave fully able to compete and succeed in the illustration industry.
Illustration students experience projects focusing on editorial illustration, publishing, children's books, illustration for packaging and advertising, graphic novels, printmaking and reportage. Students benefit from guest speakers, a team of staff that are all practicing illustrators, and a year-long professional practice module. A London show each year at the Poetry Café Covent Garden showcases student work and is an opportunity for students from the entire cohort to reach a wider public.
