BA Popular Music
Music at Middlesex encompasses a wide range of musical genres with practice at its heart. Working with professionals from the world of music, and the music industry, our students develop advanced practical and creative musical skills, critical reflection, autonomous learning, professional practice, and the transferable skills gained through the advanced study of music.
This course gives students the tools to succeed in the field of music business and arts management, studying with staff that are working or researching in the music business or arts sector. The course covers everything from entrepreneurship and project management to live music, copyright law, events and arts funding and finance. Our students gain expertise through live projects in music and arts management. With a focus on enhancing employability skills, graduate destinations include the NME, PRS, Bath International Music Festival, EMI and the Barbican.
