BA Dance Practices

Dance at Middlesex has an established tradition of practice-led teaching that allows our students to develop into vibrant and dynamic artists, practitioners, entrepreneurs, educators. Middlesex dance degrees open up employment opportunities across the dance and creative industries and prepare students for lifelong careers.

This course comprises comprehensive knowledge and experience of dance practices and the contemporary, historical and diverse cultural contexts in which dance is practiced and produced, including choreography, dance science, dance education/outreach, dance writing, and many more. Students gain in-depth knowledge of dance practice alongside transferable skills that support diverse career avenues in the creative fields. It's a highly individual course with the freedom to tailor the final year's contents to the individual's interests, strengths, and passions.
