Our MA Theatre Arts is a flexibly-designed programme that gives students the opportunity to specialise, collaborate, and push the boundaries of a chosen practice within a theatre arts framing. We understand the inherent interdisciplinary nature of theatre, which is reflected in the expertise of the academic team and visiting artists who deliver the programme with specialisms in areas including and beyond, immersive and interactive practice, digital and material scenography, puppetry, applied theatre, live art, stand-up, solo performance, audio installation, physical theatres and writing for performance.
Students benefit from opportunities to interact with London’s creative networks through industry visits and observations, alongside professional placements, as part of their study. The student-practitioner is at the heart and helm of their studies through process-driven learning complemented by individualised, negotiated assessments. This MA open doors, both to employment in the arts sector and to doctoral study. It equips students with a range of skills that transfer to diverse professional and academic contexts for practice, including performance, design, directing, writing, arts administration, education and socially-engaged work.
