One of the things we really push on the Middlesex BA Illustration course is the importance of drawing, especially drawing from life. To give students the opportunity to draw on location the staff organize multiple trips each year to various locations around London and abroad. This can include museums, parks, architectural sights and galleries etc. On these days the students and staff spend the day drawing and meet up at points throughout the day to see each other’s outcomes and at the end of day have some well-earned food or drink. This year, on a sunny Thursday in March, the students of first year Illustration set out to draw in the lovely Hampstead Heath with their tutor Louise Weir.
