BA Fashion Textiles and Design produces exciting and innovative students who have benefitted from extensive press coverage in magazines including Vogue, Dazed, iD and Wonderland. Alumni have gone on to forge successful careers at luxury fashion houses such as Alexander McQueen and Zandra Rhodes, as well as high-street brands such as H&M and Topshop. The Fashion Textiles and Design programme challenges the role of the textile designer within the fashion industry, offering students the opportunity to develop textiles within a well-defined fashion context. This innovative programme delivers garment design and construction skills alongside print, knit, weave, dye, embroidery, and embellishment, utilising state of the art digital facilities as well as a focus on traditional artisan craft techniques. Students benefit from workplace experience as well as the expertise of lecturers and technicians who work in industry.
