Games Design at Middlesex focuses on the Game Designer as the centre of a creative team - vision holder, team co-ordinator, and communicator. Our students produce work across a wide range of forms including tabletop, mobile, and XR, from mock-ups and paper prototypes to playable digital prototypes. Students are taught a range of design skills including pitching, game play design and balancing, and challenge and level design. Across the three years students work alone and in teams both with their classmates and with colleagues making 3D animations, game art, and music. These teams have worked both in person and online to produce some outstanding work. Graduates go on to fill a range of design and development roles in games and in the broader media landscape.
