MA Novel Writing

MA Novel Writing (Distance Education) brings together writers from around the world in a digital community devoted to exploring every aspect of the novel-writing process, from initial conception, through the language and storytelling, to preparing for publication. Our modules – Writing as a Novelist; Reading as a Novelist; Research for Fiction: Writing, Markets, Audiences; Developing and Publishing the Novel; Major Project – give students a solid grounding in the practical and theoretical facets of the novelist’s craft, and also enable them to spread their own wings, in the form of their own novel-project. MA Novel Writing students and alumni have written and published in a wide range of genres - from poetic literary fiction to fast-paced thrillers, from escapist fantasy to gritty realism.
