MA Children’s Book Illustration and Graphic Novels is a highly successful course that aims to equip students with the knowledge and confidence necessary for telling, illustrating, and publishing stories. This MA has secured publishing deals for many books including: THE CHAGOS BETRAYAL by Florian Grosset, WHERE IS MY NEXT HOME? by Pui Pui Lau, MR PEG’S POST and PIP FINDS A HOME both by Elena Topouzoglou. The course is staffed by practitioners and covers all areas of narrative illustration including, illustrated stories, comics, graphic novels, and children’s books, and has seen students featured at the prestigious Bologna Children’s Book Fair in Italy. Visits from publishers, editors and art directors give students a first-hand experience of what is necessary to publish a book as well as helping establish contacts and opportunities. Next year will see the publication of several new books from previous graduates including THE FINE ART OF BETRAYAL by Alex Moore and THE ADVENTURES OF MR BUSBY by Anna Stubberfield.
