The MA Professional Practice programmes, comprise of five pathways; Dance Technique Pedagogy, Dance (specialisation), Somatic Studies, Artist Practitioner, and Creative Industries Professional. These are Distance Education programmes utilizing critical digital dialogic pedagogies in teaching and learning. All staff are active practitioner-researchers in their fields, and are dedicated to providing the best possible higher education learning experience while maintaining a clear focus on the development of students professional practice. The curriculum is designed to provide masters level skills and knowledge while giving full recognition to existing learning achieved through professional experience, professional qualifications, CPD, and other academic certification. This means professional qualifications and professional experiences are given recognition on this programme. The central focus of the programme is the development of 'self' as a practising artist/educator/scholar, alongside critical reflection on and advancement of the individual’s engagement with their professional practice. Graduates move into higher level positions within their field, feel empowered through their research and gain industry recognition.
